Cruise! Day 4

Belize threw us for a loop. We didn't go the the Mayan ruins in Mexico because we just knew they'd have a wonderful tour in Belize as well. And they did. We'd even get to go on horseback for a mere $95.99 per person. No problem. We're in... or at least we were until we read the last sentence that some of the ruins were replicas! Gasp! Right?! I know! You can't just replicate a ruin! These are not cars, they're supposed to be thousands, if not millions, of years old and you're telling me that I have to pay almost $200 to see replicas? Nope. No thanks. So we hit the road with our new cruise friends that we met at the cooking class and headed out on our own.

Belize made us see why Carnival puts the bold print at the bottom which says if you choose not to go with their tour guides once you're at port you're on your own.

In the picture below our new friend got in the way of the picture, but I was trying to show how they blocked the gate out of the terminal. The guys there make a living off the tours and competition was tough. We just kept our heads down and kept walking.

I put my cameras away for most of our walk because we weren't in the safest of places but I did manage to get a few shots.
