Sunday Funday

Sunday was the 4th of July and although I'm not Mrs. America (you know the whole leave Caesar's things to Caesar) it still gets me to see flags flying at half mast. The hubs had to work on Sunday so I took him some Brugger's (YUM) and spent some time at the VA Hospital. When I got there he was giving meds to an older man who had had a leg amputation. The price is high... Sadly he didn't lose it in war against other men, but to a war against his body and diabetes. It's serious and people need to take care of themselves, but if they can't at least they've got the best nurse around to take care of them. Couldn't take a picture of the man but the flags were free game.
